TIPS & TECHNIQUES

  • Read the manufacturer’s instructions for your scope to ensure you identify the correct channel internal diameters.
  • Always check the fit of the PULL THRU™ Cleaning Brush in the distal end prior to use to ensure the correct brush has been selected.
  • Avoid contamination.  Prior to starting cleaning, identify the brushes you will need for your scope. Put on new gloves and then lay out each brush required (PULL THRU™, MINI PULL THRU™ etc) on the bench before starting to clean the scope to avoid cross contamination.
  • If you have trouble inserting the PULL THRU™ Cleaning Brush into a channel, consider reversing the direction you are cleaning from i.e. from light block to handle. This will not affect the efficacy of the cleaning process.
  • If you have accidentally used the wrong brush for your channel do not try and pull it out. Doing so may damage the scope and cause expensive repairs.
  • The PULL THRU™ Cleaning Brush cleans best when submerged in a detergent bath (always wet the wipers prior to insertion in a channel) – watch the video on the home page for a demonstration.
  • The PULL THRU™ Cleaning Brush products are designed to clean in a single pass. You should follow your inhouse procedures when determining the number of passes to make through each channel.
  • Always brush until the channels are clean.  Check for excessive soil on the wipers when the PULL THRU™ Cleaning Brush exits the distal end or port.
